Step 1

  • Prepare the detectors which you need to pair.
  • Select one detector to go into “sending mode”.
  • Press and hold the test button on this unit
    until the LED light is continuously ON. This will
    take up to 12 seconds.




Step 2

  • Press and hold the test button on the other
    detectors for approximately 1 second, release
    the button at once when you see the LED blink
    red.






Step 3

  • The “sending” & “learning” detectors will both
    blink rapidly to indicate they are paired.
  • After this the LED on the master detector will turn
    bright red and stay on continuously.
  • The LED on the learning detector will turn red, but will
    be slightly dimmed.
  • You can pair multiple smoke detectors in this
    same manner consecutively.




Step 4

  • After completing the pairing process, press
    and release the test button on all the smoke
    detectors to end “pairing mode”, the LED on
    the units will turn off.
  • The detectors are now paired and ready to be tested.
