Interference, the causes and the fixes. Interference can be caused by a wide variety of things. From metal objects in your home or near the device or access points to reinforced concrete used in newly build houses. Always keep in mind where and how you are placing your wireless devices, doing so will often give you the best possible connection. The biggest source of interference for WiFi networks are other WiFi networks, however. Especially in an area where many different WiFi networks compete with eachother, having a powerful router or access point is often a requirement. The best thing to do with 2.4GHz networks is to change your WiFi channel to one that is least busy, or better: not used at all by other networks. | ![]() |
