Privacy Mode (private mode) gives you peace of mind when you are at home. The camera lens closes and blocks viewing, recording and microphone functions. So you do not have to worry about your privacy.


There are several options for enabling Privacy Mode automatically or on schedule so that the camera lens opens or closes.

Open when absent

You can automatically terminate Privacy Mode in case of absence. This is based on the GPS functions (location services, geofencing) of your phone and the location of your camera.   1. Open the   'HomeWizard Cameras'-app.
  2. Press 'Menu' at the top right of the window of the camera.
  3. In the menu of the camera, press'Privacy Mode'.
  4. Turn on 'Open when absent'.


It is possible to use Open in the absence of multiple persons. Each user must have a separate account and set this up for his or her telephone.

Schedule

You can indicate per day when Privacy Mode should be on. If you put in Open absent and you are absent, the schedule will be ignored temporarily until you come home. You can create schedules with the following steps

  1. Open the   'HomeWizard Cameras'-app.
  2. Press 'Menu' at the top right of the window of the camera.
  3. In the menu of the camera, press'Privacy Mode'.
  4. Press on 'Schedule'.
    • Press on 'Add schedule' 
    • You make a schedule based on a day in a week on time (start time and end time) 
    • A total of 20 schedules can be added.


Usage examples

Close when I am home, open when I am away.

  • Turn on Privacy Mode in your schedule for all days from 00:00 to 23:59. And set Open in absent.


Close when I am at home, open at night or when I am away.

  • Turn on Privacy mode in your schedule for all days from 07:00 to 23:30. And set Open in absent.
