At the time when the alarm is first removed from its packaging. Locate a red tab in the smoke detector. Remove not yet!If no red tab present the battery is removed first. Unplug by turning counterclockwise the smoke detector from the mounting base. Remove the batteries and keep the detector saved if the batteries. Make sure the smoke alarm within 5 meters of the HomeWizard-link contained while pairing.

  1. Start the ThuisVeilig app a go to 'Apparaten' at the bottom of the app.
  2. Click on '+' right to add a device.
  3. Select 'smoke detector'.
  4. The learning process in order to connect the smoke detector is started.
    1. Remove the red tab from the smoke detector.
    2. Put the batteries back in the smoke detector, the polarity. (Insert the plus and minus on the right side)
  5. Give the alarm a name
  6. Press 'Gereed'


Congratulations, the smoke detector is linked to the ThuisVeilig app.
